The Jazz Gallery Presents: Ethan Iverson Trio

Earlier this year, pianist Ethan Iverson released Every Note Is True, his first album on Blue Note Records. With bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Jack DeJohnette (and a crew of amateur singers on the opening track), Iverson bounds over a set of original compositions by turns playful and surreal.

This Friday, Iverson returns to The Jazz Gallery to play music from the record alongside a couple of younger-generation standouts—bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Kush Abadey. The trio is sure to further stretch these curious and potent tunes into surprising corners.

The Ethan Iverson Trio plays The Jazz Gallery on Friday, August 19, 2022. The group features Mr. Iverson on piano, Thomas Morgan on bass, and Kush Abadey on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9;30 P.M. E.D.T. $25 general admission ($10 for members, FREE for SUMMERPASS holders), $35 reserved cabaret seating ($20 for members, $10 for SUMMERPASS holders). $20 for livestream access ($5 for members) for each set.
