The Jazz Gallery Presents: Song Yi Jeon

This Thursday, April 5, vocalist/composer Song Yi Jeon will make her first appearance at The Jazz Gallery, celebrating the release of her forthcoming album, Movement of Lives. Originally from South Korea, Song Yi's musical studies have taken her around the world, from Austria, to Switzerland, to Berklee in Boston. Song Yi released her debut album, Straight, in 2015, and it showcases her impressively nimble voice and worldly musical tastes.Since finishing at Berklee, Song Yi has been based in New York, forging strong musical connections with players like bassist Peter Slavov that have come to fruition on Movement of Lives. Don't miss this chance to check out a rising young vocalist in her Gallery debut.The Song Yi Jeon Quintet celebrates the release of Movement of Lives at The Jazz Gallery on Thursday, April 5, 2018. The group features Song Yi on voice/composition, Kenji Herbert on guitar, Vitor Goncalves on piano, Peter Slavov on bass, Ronen Itzik on drums, and special guest Rogerio Boccato on percussion.
