Pianist Shai Maestro and vocalist Michael Mayo share a strong penchant for unvarnished lyricism and unhurried pacing. In 2021, the artists released acclaimed solo records—Maestro’s latest ECM output Human and Mayo’s Mack Avenue debut Bones.
