The Jazz Gallery Presents: Evans-Eubanks Experience

Both hailing from Philadelphia, pianist Orrin Evans and guitarist Kevin Eubanks have proven to be simpatico collaborators in recent years. In 2017, each played on the other’s albums—Eubanks' East West Time Line and Evans' #knowingishalfthebattle . Last month, the pair released EEE, the debut album for their new duo, Evans-Eubanks Experience.

The set of originals showcases Evans and Eubanks’ stylistic range, from the rootsy flavor of “I Don’t Know,” to the sprawling “Variations on the Battle,” to the airy interplay of “Novice Bounce,” which you can stream below.

Currently on tour to support the album, Eubanks and Evans will play The Jazz Gallery on Saturday, April 23. Come out to see this duo explore new depths in their memorable compositions.
