The Jazz Gallery Presents: Bobby Avey

Bobby Avey is a pianist of deep imagination and clear intellect. Since his time as a student at the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, Avey was collaborated with the great, exploratory saxophonist Dave Liebman in both performance and on record. Last spring, Avey released Authority Melts from Me, a recording of a suite of music inspired by Haitian Vodou traditions and Haitian history from colonial times to today.
