The Jazz Gallery Presents: Ben Tiberio

This week, The Jazz Gallery is pleased to welcome bassist Ben Tiberio back to the bandstand. After making many appearances as a supporting player, Tiberio made his leader debut here in Fall 2021 to celebrate the release of his album Rare Piece (Outside In Music).

For this performance at the Gallery, Tiberio has assembled a new band he calls Root Cause, featuring peers David Leon on saxophone and Yvonne Rogers on piano, as well as drummer Ari Hoenig, with whom Tiberio plays regularly at Smalls.

The sets will feature original music by all members of the band; equal parts lyrical and rhythmically rambunctious.

Ben Tiberio’s Root Cause plays The Jazz Gallery on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The group features Mr. Tiberio on bass, David Leon on alto saxophone, Yvonne Rogers on piano, and Ari Hoenig on drums.
