The Jazz Gallery Presents: Anthony Hervey

With a round and imploring tone, trumpeter Anthony Hervey sticks out crowded musical textures. He’s a recent graduate of the Juilliard School, and has already worked with the likes of Jon Batiste and Christian McBride. Earlier this year, Hervey released his debut solo album, Words From My Horn (Outside In), showcasing original compositions in jazz languages old and new.

This week, Hervey makes his Jazz Gallery debut as a leader with a quintet of simpatico peers.

The Jazz Gallery presents the Anthony Hervey Quintet on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The group features Mr. Hervey on trumpet, Sarah Hanaha on alto saxophone, Isaiah J. Thompson on piano, Philip Norris on bass, and Miguel Russell on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M.
