For well over two decades, guitarist Peter Bernstein, organist Larry Goldings, and drummer Bill Stewart have made scintillating and atmospheric music together, collectively leaving their mark on the jazz organ trio tradition. They’ve put out nearly a dozen albums, most recently Ramshackle Serenade (Pirouet) in 2014, and have toured all over the world. The trio is criss-crossing the country all this month and will stop by The Jazz Gallery this Friday, April 15th, for two sets of music.
With the band members now based on opposite coasts, don’t miss this rare opportunity to see “[t]he best organ trio of the last decade” (New York Times) in our intimate space. Before you come by, check out the video below, featuring the group performing material off their latest album, as well as talking about their collective musical approach.
